Nigel is the owner and hands-on Managing Director of Heneghan.

Widely recognised as an expert in strategic communications, he is a trusted advisor to leading national and international organisations and provides counsel to individuals in senior corporate and leadership roles. Nigel particularly specialises in communications strategy, corporate and financial communications, and crisis management.

Supported by Heneghan’s dynamic team, he brings an enviable network of contacts in business, media, government and the wider community to his client engagements. A former Chairman of the Irish Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA), Nigel gained early career experience working in London and Dubai.

Nigel is a government-appointed member of Rethink Ireland, which supports innovative non-profit organisations nationwide. Previously, he was also a ministerial appointee to the Compliance Committee of the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland. Nigel holds a diploma in Corporate Governance from the Corporate Governance Institute.

Holly joined Heneghan in 2022 and serves as Finance and Operations Manager, bringing a wealth of business administration and project management experience from both Ireland and overseas. In this role, she is instrumental in supporting Heneghan and the Managing Director in driving the continuous growth of the business.

Day-to-day, Holly is responsible for Financial Operations, Process and Systems Management, and People Operations. She manages Stakeholder and Board Liaison, and leads on Project Management and Risk and Compliance across the organisation.

Holly holds an Honours Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Event Management from Dublin Business School and is currently completing a Masters in Business Administration with Griffith College.

Rory joined Heneghan in June 2023 as a Senior Account Manager.

Rory provides a high level of support and guidance to Heneghan clients in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors, including in the food, finance, energy and transport industries.

Rory has over six years’ experience in public relations, with a demonstrated capability in communications, organisational and leadership skills. In addition to his prior agency experience, he previously worked as Parliamentary Assistant and Political Assistant to two senior government ministers.

A native of Co Donegal, Rory holds a BA in History and Politics from University College Dublin and a Master’s in Public Relations from Technological University Dublin (previously Dublin Institute of Technology).

Tilly is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in media relations and stakeholder engagement, particularly within the technology and telecommunications sectors. Based in London, she supports Heneghan’s corporate clients across the health, financial, and technology industries, delivering strategic communications counsel and high-level engagement initiatives.

With a background spanning both in-house and agency environments, Tilly brings a well-rounded perspective to her work, combining expertise in external affairs, government and stakeholder engagement, and internal communications. Her strategic insight and practical experience help clients navigate complex communication landscapes effectively.

Tilly holds a Master’s degree in Social Science from University College Dublin.

Seánna is an organised, detail-oriented communications professional with a strong foundation in public relations and marketing. Before joining Heneghan, she spent two years with Three Ireland as a Public Relations and Communications Graduate, supporting campaigns across internal teams, preparing press materials and stakeholder briefings, producing media monitoring reports and competitor analysis, and assisting with internal and external events.

She previously worked as Marketing Manager and Office Administrator with Layher System Scaffolding and as Digital Marketing and Community Manager for the UK and Ireland with Babysits in Rotterdam.

Seánna holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Dundalk Institute ofTechnology.

Tom is a communications and public affairs specialist advising clients across financial services, technology and other regulated sectors in Ireland, the UK and Europe. He delivers political and regulatory analysis, monitors legislative developments, drafts policy submissions and consultation responses, and engages key policymakers, regulators and industry stakeholders – including contributing insight to the due diligence supporting a multi-billion-euro acquisition.

He also brings strong agency experience in integrated PR and communications across fintech, digital payments and healthcare, securing coverage in Tier 1 outlets internationally and supporting crisis communications and media training.

Tom holds an MSc in European Politics and External Relations from the University of Amsterdam and an MA in Philosophy and Politics from the University of Edinburgh. He speaks English and French.

Margaret is a journalism graduate with a strong interest in public relations, marketing and digital communications, and a particular flair for multimedia content creation across video, podcasting, photography and written journalism. Her work has included video journalism on the cost of living and CAMHS waiting lists, a podcast exploring Black-Irish identity and culture, feature writing, and interviews with public figures in the media and advocacy space.

Alongside her studies she has built practical office and communications experience, proofreading and editing client communications, conducting research and managing high-volume outreach.

Margaret holds a BA in Journalism from Dublin City University.

Larry, one of Ireland’s most experienced communications professionals, is Senior Corporate Consultant to Heneghan.

Larry trained in the US with Ketchum Public Relations before being appointed Public Relations Manager with ESB in 1987. He held positions as ESB Head of Public Affairs (1992- 1997) and Company Secretary & Head of Corporate Affairs (1997-2003).

In 2003, Larry joined An Post, where he was Chief Operating Officer. In 2010, he joined Bord Gáis as Group Director of Corporate Affairs, leading the development and establishment of a new corporate communications function to meet its changing needs.

Since early 2013, Larry has been providing corporate communications services to leading companies. Born in Dublin, he is a graduate in Economics from University College Dublin.

Conor, an award-winning journalist and documentary maker, is Senior Consultant to Heneghan, based in Munster.

A former Business Editor of the Irish Examiner and Business Journalist of the Year, Conor is a seasoned communicator with hands-on crisis management and public affairs experience. He helps clients to develop clear messaging and tell their stories on the forums that count.

Conor’s radio documentaries In Shame, Love, In Shame and A Very Irish Coup - broadcast as part of RTÉ’s Documentary on One series - won Gold at the IMRO Radio Awards in 2019 and 2021 respectively. His work has been shortlisted for the Prix Europa and won accolades at the New York Festivals Radio Awards, the Association of International Broadcasters Awards, the Celtic Media Awards, and the Premios Ondas in Spain.

Brian is a diligent and proactive member of the Heneghan team. He assists in providing dedicated support to clients across a diverse range of sectors and PR taskings. Brian works closely on a day-to-day basis with Heneghan Account Directors and Managers to ensure that clients receive a best-in-class strategic communications service.

 

Previously, Brian has worked as an analyst for Dataminr, the global leader in AI-powered real-time event, threat and risk intelligence. He also serves part-time as a reservist with the Irish Defence Forces.

 

Brian is due to graduate with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Government and Political Science from University College Cork in 2027. He has also recently completed his studies for a Diploma in Public Relations with the Public Relations Institute of Ireland.
